SNSS Leafy Flourish and More ~

Good morning Sweet'nSassy friends! Sharing with you a quick and easy card using the emboss resist technique. My card uses the Leafy Flourish & More stamp set. I simply stamped the background onto white cardstock and embossed it. I took Ranger inks and tried to create an ombre look to the image. I love the softened appearance on the upper right corner. My card is embellished with ribbon and pearls. I took a sentiment from the Be Encouraged set and created a fishtail banner.

Have a beautiful Weekend!

Materials used:
Stamps: Leafy Flourish BG and more, Be Encouraged
Inks: Ranger distress inks, SU, Versamark
Paper: SU
Accessories: Ribbon, Pearls, Embossing powder

SNSS Tutorial Monday ~

Good Morning Sweet'nSassy friends! It's time for another Tutorial and I get to play with you all today! Let's get started! I am going to share with you my version of embossing on Kraft cardstock and colouring using copics. I was inspired by cards I pinned on Pinterest.
  1. Gather your materials: SNSS Mini Flower Blocks3, Kraft CS, Versamark stamp pad, white embossing powder, copics of choice, 0 blender

    2. Stamp your image using versamark or embossing pad, pour your white embossing powder (I used white fine detail)and heat it thoroughly with your heat tool.

3. Colour in your image using your copics of choice. Be careful to stay off the embossed portions, go lightly in application. Blend your colours as usual. Once you are finished, go over lightly with the 0 blender over the white portions. This will pull the colour off you may have applied to the embossed portions.
4. Finish your card as desired. For this card, I mounted the image on a white fishtail banner and stamped the sentiment directly beneath. I embellished with matching ribbon. I love the Be encouraged set for it's many inspirational sentiments and versatility.
Here is another sample using the same technique. This card is layered on a piece of embossed CS and embellished with white ribbon. I stamped the sentiment directly on the base.

Grab some of your favourite sets, your markers and try your hand on this fun technique. Don't forget to upload to your favourite social media or Splitcoaststampers to show us your creations. Have a great Day!

Heartfelt Creations - A Winner and Baby Welcome

Happy Saturday everyone!!! We have a winner from April's Alumni DT Bloghop!
The winner was chosen from Glenda Brooks' blog. The winner is Leslie Miller.
She said this...
Oh, my gosh, so gorgeous! I did an ultra-close up to get a good look at your flower and I could hardly pull myself away. The color and the gloss are incredible, and the center! Love what you used in the center. It always looks like you have so much fun with your craft, and that's just as it should be.
Last Weekend, I had the privilege of attending a girly baby shower and the hostess asked if I had some cute baby cards on hand. I didn't, but I quickly created two, using these patterned papers from Heartfelt Creations. Aren't they super adorable? The Sweet Lulluby collection is still available!
I hope you will join us again on May 26th for another round of hopping with the Alumni DT. Have a beautiful Weekend!

Materials Used:
Stamps: SNSS (sentiment)

Heartfelt Creations Alumni DT April Bloghop~

Good morning Heartfelt Creations fans and family! The April Alumni DT bloghop is well under way and I am sure you have been inspired already by everyone's creations. These stamps are some of my favourites and they have been discontinued.

My card is quite simple. I "painted" my cardstock with Viva Decor3d paint and let it dry. I stamped the background stamp in darker like colour. The focal image is stamped on white cardstock and swiped lightly with the same paint. I die cut the image and layered it onto mirrored cardstock. I took some of the die cut keys from the background image and adhered them as embellishment after tying them them together with jute. The card is finished with additional sequins.

As always, be sure to leave your comment by Fri. May 1st at midnight. The winner will receive $25 gift certificate to shop at Heartfelt Creations and will need to email Emma Lou with "Winner of April Alumni Hop" in subject line.
The winner of the blog hop will have 72 hours to claim their prize otherwise another name will be draw.
