Worthwhile Adventures ~

Hi everyone! I love this new silhouette set from Sweet'nSassy Stamps! This month has gone by without too much stamping or creating...I give a shout out to those who have been patient with me in the process. Your kindness is not easily forgotten.

Using the newly released Landscape Silhouettes and dkDesign Across the Miles. The multiple images between the two sets give endless options to the cards you can create. It would be appropriate to say I haven't even begun to delve into the possibilities!

I chose my card stock base to create the nautical look I wanted to achieve. The designer paper from SU is cut down to fit the base leaving some base colour showing. Next, I stamped the lighthouse silhouette directly onto the coordinating designer paper using versafine black. I trimmed it to fit the base and distressed the edges and layered it onto matching card stock. Lay this aside. I stamped the arrows and the mariners wheel to continue the theme on the card base.  Lastly, I stamped the quote above the lighthouse silhouette. I wrapped bakers twine on one end of the focal piece and adhered it onto the prepared base.

My Kind of Guy ~

I love this background stamp that easily completes a card as is. The different fonts pack a punch! I stamped it onto very vanilla cardstock and sponged it using distress inks by Ranger. I stamped it again a second time and cut out the words I wanted to highlight. I sponged the letters in Red, White and Blue. With the Armed Forces Day this past Saturday and Memorial Day coming up, this card honours all those in service.

Until Then My Father ~ Blessed Assurance

My Father entered into eternal Rest on May 5th at 6:24am EST in Ontario Canada where he resided. He leaves behind my mother, his wife of 49 years and 6 children and their spouses along with grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Blessed Assurance, Jesus is mine!

This was my father's favourite song, I sang this for him many times during my last visit with him in March. Now he sings with all of heaven.

Until then NiiDada, I will sing from here. I will see you again on the other side. I love you forever.

I AM the Vine ~

I Love this scripture from John 15...I combined it with the image from the Organic Fillers set to symbolize the producing of "much fruit"! Because my sentiment was not fitting the card front, I cut the scripture into strips to create a journal feel. I love reading what the Father says about me from HIS heart.

Heartfelt Beautiful You Asters ~

Good morning! It is Heartfelt Wednesday!!! Today, I have a 12x12 layout for you using the flower pot die that was released this month! This die has so many options for cards, layouts and gift packaging ideas...check out the DT blog and view the possibilities. My layout features my  youngest daughter who is currently serving with YWAM. We miss her so much.
In other news, today is my last post as a Heartfelt Design Team member...It was a huge blessing to be part of this company in a small way. I congratulate the incoming DT and will miss all the talented ladies I had the privilege of working alongside.

SNSS Wildflowers Encouragement Tote ~

Good Morning everyone! I have a quick and easy project for you today.  I was at the Heirloom show last weekend and at the Sweet'nSassy make and take table, we made two styles of very pretty silhouette cards and I must say, I am addicted! I love how each one turns out unique and so pretty! Each one makes me think of myself - an artist.

So, I created 3x3 notecards with a matching tote. You can find directions for these adorable totes right here. I created mine from the youtube video at the bottom of the toot. I discovered I learn better that way. Seeing and hearing, You know, multi-tasking. lol.

These little beauties are Super Easy Peasy to create. So is the tote. Just ask the talented people on SCS.

 

First, I masked the section that I wanted to sponge using post it notes and sponged my choice of colours using Rangers applicators. Once I achieve the colour I like, I peeled off the masks and then stamped the wildflowers in versafine black. Wow, the euphoria...A masterpiece!

Heartfelt Creations Seascape Wednesday ~

It's Wednesday!!! I hope you all have a happy Heartfelt Day today. Today, I bring more from the latest Balmy Breeze collection. Be sure to visit the store to see all the images, beautiful dies and papers included in this collection. This collection makes you want to kick back, relax, breathe in the air and enjoy the scenery. My first card uses the Adirondack chair along the seashore surrounded by shells, sand and reeds...can you smell the salt sea air? All the details on this card are on the Heartfelt Blog. This card uses more of the images perfect for a masculine card! The small anchor is from one of the new dies sets in the collection. I love when a simple card packs a punch. I will create more of these cards.
